My name is Lindsey, and I’m on a mission to help people discover great live music across the Bay Area. I recommend shows across pretty much all genres, posting weekly curated recommendations of primarily smaller venue shows, and monthly recommendations for big venue shows.
To do this I comb through 100+ shows happening every week, listen to all the artists, and then pick my favorite ones to share, with an eye for variation across genres. I highlight and showcase local artists within my recommendations to support our amazing local music.
Every recommendation is fully manual, meaning I’ve spent time listening to the artist and feel good recommending them. While I can’t promise you’ll like all of them, my recommendations typically have something for everyone.
Note: I don’t usually recommend DJ sets/electronic music (there’s already a scene for that), or classical/choral music/instrumental jazz (although I love it).
Free subscribers will receive the basic list curated dhow recommendations every week. I also post these on Instagram and TikTok.

I’ll also share a list of monthly “big show” recommendations, i.e. shows at bigger venues. I try to send these a month or two in advance given their higher price and risk of selling out. Paid subbscribers will receive descriptions of the artist and other helpful information.
